On May 6th, the Membership Committee hosted a Spring Ladies' Salad Luncheon for area churches. There were approximately 25 in attendance. Ladies brought their favorite salad to share. Guest Speaker, Rev. Jennifer Long from Faith Christian Church in Bolivar, presented a program titled "Woman to Woman Worldwide". She spoke of her travels to Korea and Japan along with other women from Disciples of Christ churches and how in today's world those women are abuse daily, are considered a second-class citizens, and do not know basic hygiene. Be thankful to God to live in the USA and all the blessing you take for granted that those women do not have.
